Join Indivisible Barrington and Barrington Area Dems for an evening of learning, connection, and action. We’ll explore practical ways to support our local community impacted by recent federal immigration raids—through rapid response efforts, food pantry donations, and everyday acts of solidarity.
Together, we’ll also assemble emergency whistle lanyards and information cards to distribute across our neighborhoods, ensuring everyone has access to tools that promote safety and awareness.
Come ready to lend a hand and stand together for compassion and community care.

22 Nov - Let Them Eat Cake
Too many families in our communities are skipping celebrations because they’re struggling to put food on the table—afraid even to go to the grocery store. While those in power cut food benefits and turn away from families in need, we’re choosing to show up, together.
Join us for Let Them Eat Cake, a community action to bring joy and dignity back to our neighbors’ tables. We’re collecting cake mix, frosting, candles, canned soda, and disposable tins to create celebration kits for families who deserve a reason to smile.

Grab a drink, lend a hand, and help us remind families that their milestones still matter. Because when the powerful say, “Let them eat cake,” we’ll make sure they can.
On Monday, November 24, all kits will be distributed to local pantries:

Barrington Township Food Pantry
Wauconda/Island Lake Food Pantry
If you can’t join us, you can still help. Donate supplies, spread the word, or sign up to volunteer. Every box packed is a small act of resistance against indifference.
